Georges Édouard Nicolo (January 21, 1993) is a French rapper who goes by the stage name Georgio. Born in Seine-Saint-Denis, he grew up in Paris’ 18th arrondissement and developed a taste for rap from a very early age. He began writing his own rhymes at the age of 14 and soon joined the hip-hop collective 75ème Session alongside fellow rappers Népal, Sanka, Sheldon, Limsa, Sopico, and Hash24. Georgio made his solo debut with the 2011 mixtape Une Nuit Blanche, des Idées Noires, followed by another mixtape titled Mon Prisme in 2012. Soleil d’Hiver, his first EP, arrived in 2013 and featured production by beatmaker Hologram Lo’. After dropping the mixtape Nouveau Shuffle and the EP À l'Abri in 2014, Georgio released his studio debut Bleu Noir in October 2015. Made possible by a crowdfunding campaign, the LP sold over 5.500 copies in just a week. His sophomore effort Héra arrived in 2016 and quickly climbed to Number 15 on the French charts. Preceded by the single “J'en sais rien,” Georgio’s third full-length XX5 saw the light in 2018 and peaked at Number 26 in France and Number 52 in Belgium. Hot on the heels of that success, the young rapper returned in 2021 with Sacré, a star-studded album featuring guest spots by S.Pri Noir, Kalash Criminel, Sanka, and Zikxo.
