Gilles et Urfer

French duo formed in 1948 by Albert Urfer and Jean Villard, nicknamed Gilles, and disbanded in 1975. At the end of July 1948, Edith Burger, who formed the duo Edith et Gilles with Jean Villard, died of septicemia. He subsequently formed a new duo with Nadia Nova for two years, then with Albert Urfer in March 1951, who became his partner for almost 25 years. The group released five career albums, plus nine singles and several compilations, mixing songs and stories, all in a humorous style. The duo scored several career hits, including " Nos colonels ", " La Venoge " and " Le Bonheur ", which became their signature song.
