Chung Tik-shan (born in Hong Kong, on January 21, 1981), known as Gillian Chung, is a Hong Kong singer and actress. Starting her career as a model in Hong Kong, she underwent training as a contracted artist with Emperor Entertainment Group before making her debut in the singing duo Twins, alongside singer Charlene Choi, with the two releasing two EPs in 2001: Twins and Twins’ Love in November. In 2002, they released two studio albums Our Souvenir and Amazing Album in May and August, respectively, releasing 24 Cantonese and Mandarin recordings over the next ten years. Building a parallel career as an actress, Chung starred in several hit films including Beyond Our Ken (2004) and box-office smash 49 Days (2006) before launching her solo music career, releasing lead single “More Hearts” in 2009, from her debut EP Everyone Bounce (2010), followed by two Mandarin language albums between 2013 and 2014: Vernicia Flower and Wholly Love. In August 2022, she placed fifth in the music television competition Sisters Who Make Waves, releasing single “Two Faced”, used as the ending theme to Chinese drama Forensic JD in December.
