Real name D'Anthony Carlos (born in Washington on May 17, 1993), American rapper GoldLink grew up and went to school in Virginia, where he also began his musical career. After a first mixtape released in 2014, The God Complex, he joined the list of promising artists of rap magazine XXL (XXL Freshman Class) and produced a second mixtape, And After That, We Didn't Talk (2015). Signed to RCA Records, GoldLink works on an ambitious third mixtape, At What Cost (2017), with producers Steve Lacy, Kaytranada and Obii Say and several collaborators including Wale, Shy Glizzy, Mya and Jazmine Sullivan. The track "Crew " reached #45 on the Billboard Hot 100, and his debut album Diaspora, released in June 2019, features his partner and singer Justine Skye on the cover.
