Grupo Exterminador is a popular Mexican norteño band. Originally known as Los Hermanos Corona, Grupo Exterminador was formed in Refugio de Ríos, Abasolo, Guanajuato in 1988 by the Corona brothers: Juan Corrado, Jesús Corrado, Bernardo Corrado, and José Corrado. After migrating from Guanajuato to Los Angeles, California, the siblings began their musical journey, first recording under various labels including Azteca 2000 and Cintas Acuario. By 1995, they signed a contract with Fonovisa Records. During this period, influenced by the popularity of the movie Terminator starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, they rebranded to Exterminador. Throughout their career, Grupo Exterminador has achieved a large amount of success with norteño audiences and beyond. They've received Gold Records, topped radio charts in Mexico and the US, and secured top positions in the renowned Billboard magazine. Grupo Exterminador also developed a reputation for their provocative and often humorous narcocorridos, with lyrics focusing on drug smuggling and criminal activity. Their discography is extensive, with milestone albums such as Dos Plebes II (1994) and Me Gusta Ponerle al Polvo (1995), their first with Fonovisa. Their song "Las Monjitas" in 1996 was one of their most massive hits, becoming an unexpected success and propelling them to tours across North and South America. The early aughts found Grupo Exterminador at the peak of their powers as their LP Nuestras Románticas hit number 9 on the Billboard charts. In 2019, the group released the album Los Dos Cabrones, which introduced their music to a new generation of listeners.
