Sprawling Colombian salsa outfit Grupo Galé is a prolific and much-loved group. Steered by Medellin-born director and composer Diego Galé, the son of renowned bolero vocalist Jaime Galé, with three lead singers – Diego Javier Gonzales, Carlos Llamosa, and Charly Towers – and numerous other members, since forming in 1989 the group has released countless albums. In 2008, its Auténtico album was nominated for Best Salsa Album at the Latin Grammy Awards. Instinto arrived in 2009, and in 2014 the Despues del Silencio album. In 2020, Grupo Galé returned with Justa Calma, featuring singers Carlos Llamosa, Tatán Betancurt, Tiko Bermúdez, and Venezuela's Marcial Isturiz.
