Halle Lynn Bailey, an American singer-songwriter and actress, was born on March 27, 2000, in Mableton, Georgia. As part of the Grammy-nominated musical duo Chloe x Halle, she and her sister Chloe embarked on a musical journey at a young age, writing songs, playing instruments, and launching a video-streaming channel to display their talent. As their channel garnered recognition, they attracted the music industry's attention and eventually signed a contract with Beyoncé's label, Parkwood Entertainment. Their debut EP, Sugar Symphony, was released in 2016, and they had the honor of opening for Beyoncé's Formation World Tour that same year and the Beyoncé/Jay-Z On the Run II Tour in 2018. Their first full-length studio album, The Kids Are Alright, released in 2018, exemplified their pop-infused R&B style. In 2020, the duo released their second album, Ungodly Hour, and received five Grammy nominations. Alongside her music career, Halle Bailey delved into acting, appearing in the popular sitcom Grown-ish from 2018 to 2022. In 2023, she landed her most notable acting role as Ariel in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, which highlighted both her acting and singing abilities. Her rendition of the iconic song "Part of Your World" was especially lauded as a standout moment in the film and accompanying soundtrack album.
