Hämatom - Thorsten "Nord" Scharf (vocals), Jacek "Ost" Zyla (guitar), Peter "West" Haag (bass) and Frank "Süd" Jooss (drums) - are a metal band from Upper Franconia that has been around since 2004. Often wearing masks, they have dedicated themselves to the "Neue Deutsche Härte" style of music. in 2005 they go on tour with JBO and sell their first self-produced single "Butzemann" (2005), followed by "Häschen" (2005) and the EP Nein in the same year. in 2006 the band went on their first headlining tour, in 2008 they released their debut album Wut. 2010 saw the release of their second album Stay Kränk. The following year, Hämatom played the Wacken Festival. This is followed by their third album Wenn Man Vom Teufel Spricht in 2011, which reaches number 60 in the German charts. Their fourth studio album Keinzeitmensch is released in September 2013, the follow-up album X sees the light of day in 2014 and reaches number 16 in the German charts. The sixth studio album Wir Sind Gott even climbed to number 5 in the German charts and was a hit in Austria and Switzerland. in 2018, the band reached unprecedented heights after their seventh long-playing record Bestie der Freiheit reached number 2 in the German charts, although the number 1 spot went to Tocotronic with the album Die Unendlichkeit . This is followed by the albums Maskenball (2019), the band's first acoustic album Berlin (2021) and Die Liebe Ist Tot (2021). Over the course of their career, Hämatom have supported a number of bands as support acts, including Manowar and Rammstein.
