Han Dong-geun (born in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea on May 9, 1993), is a South Korean singer and songwriter. After winning music competition Star Audition Season 3 in 2012, Han made his debut with number 1 single “Making a New Ending for This Story” two years later, teaming up with Korean singer Jung Ah for the Pledis Duet Project Parting, releasing their single “Between Us” in 2015. In 2016, Han returned to television screens with appearances on King of Mask Singer and Duet Song Festival which saw him attract a considerable following, winning both Rising Star and Best Newcomer at the Asia Artist and MBC Entertainment Awards respectively, with hit single “Amazing You” charting at number 7. Soon after, Han released his debut album Your Diary in May 2017 seeing lead single “Crazy” take the number 8 position earning him the Discovery of the Year Award at both the Seoul Music and Gaon Chart Music Awards. His EP Broken People appeared in December, peaking at number 40. Signing with entertainment company Brand New Music in 2019, Han's second EP Obscured Star was released in January 2020, spawning two singles “I’ve Been Waiting for You” and “Farewell.” Since then, the singer has released a plethora of non-album singles including “West Sea” (2020) featuring Jang Hye-jin and “It’s Love” (2022) and appeared on multiple soundtracks such as When My Love Blooms (2020), Undercover (2021) and Bad Prosecutor (2022). Between January and March 2023, Han returned with no fewer than five singles including “I’ll Be,” “Long Time No See” and top 100 track “If I Love Again.”
