Han Seung-woo (born on December 24, 1994, in Buk-gu, Busan, South Korea) known professionally as Seungwoo, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer, and actor. Initially an avid athlete, he turned to entertainment after an injury forced him to quit sports. Despite initial resistance from his father, he succeeded in auditioning for A Cube Entertainment and relocated to Seoul in 2014 after completing high school, making his debut in November 2016 as the leader of the group Victon, contributing to the songwriting for three tracks on their debut EP, Voice to New World, including the lead track "What Time is it Now?" In 2019, Seungwoo participated in the survival show Produce X 101, where he finished in third place with 1,079,200 votes, leading to his debut in the project group X1. After controversy surrounding the show’s voting system, he returned to Victon in 2020, launching his solo career in August with the EP Fame, featuring the lead single "Sacrifice," for which he penned the lyrics. The EP reached number 2 on the Gaon weekly album chart, selling over 30,000 copies on its first day. Seungwoo ventured into acting in March 2021 with his debut in the web drama Love #Hashtag, releasing the track "See You Again" and his second EP, Fade, on June 28, which peaked at number 5 on the charts. On June 27, 2023, he dropped his third EP, Frame, which charted at number 16. Seungwoo celebrated his first solo music show victory on SBS M's The Show with the lead single "Dive Into" on July 4, returning in June 2024 with the single "Blooming" from his fourth EP, Scene, which reached number 14.
