Harry Diboula

Author, composer and performer of zouk, Harry Diboula was born in Paris on October 12, 1962. Practicing music from an early age, he mastered the synthesizer and harmonica. His first eponymous ep came out in 1987, and he surrounded himself with talented artists, notably Jean-Pierre Bullot on guitar. His track "Viens avec moi" was nominated for the SACEM Martinique Trophy in the best instrumental music category. His second EP was also released in Spain in 1989. In 1991, the artist exploded with the hit "mise au point", taken from the album Escapade. In 1993, the album Classe affaire is released, and the track "Classe Aff aire" is a hit. The album won several awards, including the 1994 Africar (Afrique Caraïbe) for Album of the Year. In 2001, the album Je Refus (I Refuse) found renewed success with the single of the same name. In 2004, Dis-moi pourquoi took him on an international tour. He then set up his own label and produced a number of artists. In 2011, Je serai là pour toi is the artist's last album. He now works as a personal trainer.
