Heidi Newfield is a country singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Healdsburg in Sonoma County, California. She began her professional career in 1999 as the lead singer, guitarist and mouth-organist with Trick Pony, recording three albums in the early 2000s before leaving to go solo in 2006. Her first solo outing was on Cledus T. Judd's 2007 album 'Boogity, Boogity - A Tribute to the Comedic Genius of Ray Stevens' on which she duetted with Keith Urban on 'Gitarzan'. Her first solo album 'What Am I Waiting For' came out in August of 2008 and reached number two and ten in Billboard's Country Music and Top 200 charts respectively. By 2012 Newfield had signed for Sidewalk Records (a subsidiary of Curb) and released 'Why'd You Have to Be So Good', which failed to chart. 2019 brought new music and a new project, 'The Barfly Sessions', a collection of old and new music.
