Hélène Rollès

Born in Le Mans on December 20, 1966, Hélène Rollès, along with Dorothée, symbolizes the success of AB Productions' heyday. She rose to fame under her first name alone in the series Premiers baisers, Hélène et les garçons and Le Miracle de l'amour, becoming the big sister, girlfriend and ideal fiancée of an entire generation. The success of the TV series was soon joined by that of her records, notably Pour l'Amour d'un Garçon (1992) and Je M'appelle Hélène, which sold close to a million copies in 1993. Her immense success then took her as far as Asia and Russia, where she became extremely popular. This intense period lasted just three years, however, and Hélène Rollès seemed definitively doomed to the nostalgia market. She returned in 2000 in the series Les Vacances de l'amour, where she played the same character, Hélène Girard. A role she reprises in 2011in Les Mystères de l'amour. The tender-hearted actress and singer took advantage of this resurgence to return to the stage and to recording, with two albums in 2012 entitled Hélène, one featuring a CD of previously unreleased tracks and the other a compilation of her hits. A third album of the same name followed four years later, as her character celebrated twenty years on the small screen. After a return to the Olympia at the end of 2016, Hélène Rollès returned to song in 2021 with an album again entitled Hélène, from which the track "Un amour" is taken. Still starring in her favorite TV series for its 34th season, she released the album Hélène (2024), including the song "Oh la la la vie est belle".
