Hizaki is a guitarist, songwriter, and record producer in the visual kei metal scene. He was born on February 17, 1979, in Shiga, Japan, and was raised in rural Shiga Prefecture. There, he developed a passion for music, initially drawn to classical violin despite his parents' discouragement. Inspired by bands like Loudness and X Japan, he began playing guitar in high school, navigating various bands before co-founding Garnet Grave in 1997. His career gained momentum with Crack Brain and later Schwardix Marvally, where he explored diverse musical styles and released a lot of acclaimed music. In 2004, Hizaki launched his solo career with the release of his debut solo album Maiden Ritual (2004) as well as collaborations across the visual kei community. He released his second album Dance with Grace in 2005. After joining forces with singer Kamijo, he co-founded the visual kei symphonic power metal band Versailles in 2007. Versailles released successful albums such as Lyrical Sympathy (2007), Noble (2008), and Jubilee (2010). In 2013, he co-founded the symphonic power metal Jupiter with other former members of Versailles. Hizaki's solo work continued with acclaimed releases such as Rosario (2016) and Rusalka (2021), showcasing his intricate guitar stylings. In 2024, he released the album The Zodiac Sign, peaking at number 62 on the Japanese Albums Chart.
