Born on March 27 1990, Hubert Wu is an actor and pop singer-songwriter from Hong Kong, who rose to prominence after participating in the music reality shows The Voice (Hong Kong) and New Talent Singing Awards. After being the first runner-up in The Voice 2, Wu landed a record deal with Stars Shine International, releasing Couple Getaway, his first LP, on September 14th, 2012. The album made it to the top of the album sales charts during the first week of its release and was quickly certified gold. Couple Getaway would also garner Wu several prizes, including Best New Artist from Metro Hits Awards. In October 2013, The Butterfly Lovers, his second full-length album was released. The title track reached Number 1 in several Chinese music charts and was accompanied by a music video. During 2014 and 2015, he was featured on the soundtrack for several soap operas such as The Ultimate Addiction, Rear Mirror, and Eye in the Sky. Wu’s 3rd album, Knowing, was released in December 2015, and it reached the top of the HMV and iTunes album charts. He spent most of 2016 and 2017 acting in different TV dramas until December of that same year, when he released I Was Here, his fourth album.
