In the 1970s, no other band in the world could rival Humble Pie, purveyors of devastating boogie rock, or Canned Heat, bluesier and more psychedelic, or Status Quo, more linear and conventional. The talent of the musicians and its founder, exceptional singer/showman Steve Marriott (ex The Small Faces) was a winning combination from the outset, but, focusing on the American market, Humble Pie disappeared from the charts. Humble Pie disappeared from the shelves once the fad had faded, leaving behind a handful of good studio records, some excellent live albums(Performance - Rockin' the Fillmore) and some devastating concerts.
