Hwangbo Hye-jeong, known professionally as Hwangbo, is a South Korean singer and rapper who initially gained fame as a member of the girl group Chakra before embarking on a solo career. Hwangbo debuted in the entertainment industry in 1999. After Chakra disbanded in 2006, she released her solo album Lady in Black in 2007. Hwangbo's career is notable for her diverse activities including acting in dramas such as Between Miss and Ma'am and Could Love Become Money. She also participated in popular variety shows like We Got Married and Infinite Girls. Despite facing a period of depression after Chakra's disbandment, Hwangbo found a new direction by engaging in volunteer work and returning to the music scene with renewed vigor.
