Daniel Jacob Hill alias iAmJakeHill is the prototype of a self-made star who has risen from the social media. Musically, the rapper and singer-songwriter from Alabama combines smooth hip-hop paradigms with brute metalcore elements, creating a sound that makes him comparable to kindred spirits such as Lil Peep, Juice WRLD, Lil Pump and Lil Xan. The US-American, who repeatedly makes musical excursions into trap, pop rap and R&B, first came to the attention of metal and emocore fans in 2017 with the release of the single ' Murderer's Regret' . Also in 2017, the LP Better off Dead was released in collaboration with Josh A. Shortly afterwards, iAmJakeHill followed up solo with Spectrum (2017). in 2018, he teamed up with Josh A again and produced the long-playing record Chaos, on which tracks such as "Anarchy Acres", "Tilted Towers " and "Suicide Forest" received millions of streams worldwide. Hill, who also works as a producer under the alter ego DJ BootyButt, released the EP Solare II in 2019, followed by the successful album Autumn Gloom in 2020. The artist, who releases tirelessly year after year, presents the studio work dying lately in 2021. The next EP was not long in coming either - Follow Me Into Hell was released in 2022, on which the hit "I Chose Violence" in particular went viral.
