From the ashes of the bitter break-up of Stone Roses, iconic front man Ian Brown managed to sustain a successful solo career for over a decade. Marching to a baggy, indie trance, Brown touched on politics, dabbled in mysticism and settled old scores, while creating a unique sound drawing on indie, hip-hop and dance culture. His debut album 'Unfinished Monkey Business' (1998) recruited the help of guitarist Aziz Ibrahim before 'Music of the Spheres' (2001), 'The World Is Yours' (2007) and 'My Way' (2009) were driven by brooding electronic grooves and strutting beats. Singles 'Corpses', 'My Star', 'Dolphins Were Monkeys' and 'F.E.A.R.' provided his biggest hits while a loyal fan base has followed him on headlining tours and regular appearances at all the major festivals. Brown released his first new music in almost ten years with single 'First World Problems' taken from the album 'Ripples' which came out in 2019.
