I.B.I

I.B.I was a South Korean girl group formed by LOEN Entertainment in 2016, consisting of five members: Lee Hae-in, Kim So-hee, Yoon Chae-kyung, Lee Su-hyun, and Han Hye-ri. These members were first introduced to the public as contestants on Mnet's survival show Produce 101, which aired from January to April 2016. Despite not making it into the final lineup of I.O.I, they were selected by LOEN Entertainment to form I.B.I, a name derived from the Korean phrase il-ban-in, meaning "normal people," but also standing for the English phrase "I Believe It." I.B.I was promoted with individual and group videos of the members singing their favorite songs, alongside a webtoon series titled I.B.I's Debut Story. They released their debut single "Molae Molae (몰래몰래)" later in 2016. The song was a success, attracting a lot of fan attention and press coverage, with the music video amassing millions of views on streaming sites. The group embarked on a promotional tour, with several live performances of "Molae Molae" alongside other songs from Produce 101. I.B.I also filmed a six-episode reality show in Thailand, Hello I.B.I, which aired from October to November 2016.
