Ilse DeLange (born on May 13, 1977) is a Dutch country and pop singer, known for being the runner-up in Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with her group, The Common Linnets. Her debut album World of Hurt, was recorded with producer Barry Beckett and released in 1998. DeLange’s third album, Livin’ on Love (2000), reached Number 5 on the Dutch charts and would take her on a tour through her home country. Clean Up (2003), her fourth studio release, was recorded in the US and was certified Gold in the Netherlands. After losing her contract with Warner Music, she was signed by Universal Music and released The Great Escape in 2005, which went Platinum only a couple of months after its release. Her sixth LP, Incredible (2008), featured the single “Miracle,” which reached Number 1 on the Dutch charts. After her album DoLuv2Luvu was shelved by her record label, DeLange released her seventh LP, Eye of the Hurricane (2012), which reached Number 23 in the Dutch Top 40. In 2014, she joined forces with singer Waylon to form The Common Linnets, who took second place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. After releasing two albums with the group, DeLange released a homonym album (2018), Gravel & Dust (2019), and Changes (2020).
