The year 1982 was marked by Imagination's hit singles "Just an Illusion" and "Music and Lights", among others. Imagination, an English disco funk group formed in 1981, were now competing on the dancefloor against the Americans of Earth, Wind and Fire and the Europeans of Boney M. Although their singles sold all over the world, their albums were only really successful in the UK, and Imagination's career quickly faded away. In 1994, the group turned off the strobe lights of its glory.
