After leaving Emo band Thirteen Over Eight, Patrick Sissley and Jared Piccone formed their own dance-rock crossover The Takeover in 2006. Later renaming the group Innerpartysystem, the duo were joined by guitarist and keyboard player Kris Barman and keyboardist Jesse Cronan. After signing for label Stolen Transmission in 2007, the group released its debut record The Download EP, that was only available in the US but included demos for Don't Stop and Heart Of Fire, both of which featured on the band's later self-titled album debut. The release of the album in September 2008 in the US and UK was preceded with a busy tour schedule in both countries. They continue to tour and experiment with their electronic sound that has both gained the group a strong following while bemused others. The group is currently working on a second album set for release in the first half of 2010.
