Insomniacks

Insomniacks are a four-piece punk-pop act from Kuala Lumpur. Founded in 2015, the group consists of guitarists Danial Doodye and Syed Mir Iqbal, bassist Wan Arif Iskandar and drummer Gavin Wong, with Iqbal and Iskandar also lending their vocals. The group started out posting acoustic covers and original material online and by 2017 had picked up a contract with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia. It was with their 2017 single 'Selalu' that the band really made a splash when the song got used as part of the official soundtrack to the Korean drama 'My Coffee Prince'. In 2018 Insomniacks released the follow-up single 'Pulang' with a piano version of the song following in 2019 and racking up nearly 800,000 views on YouTube in its first two weeks of release.
