Irene Lam

Irene Lam, also known as 林芊瑩 (born August 21, 2000), is a Hong Kong-based singer and artist who made her debut in 2024. Lam attended kindergarten at Karenza Sacred Heart School (嘉諾撒聖心學校), where she discovered her passion for music despite having issues with her pitch. She was initially interested in participating in a recitation competition but was rejected by her teacher due to her vocal problems. However, after being inspired and influenced by other musicians, Lam began training her voice and eventually found her current singing style. Lam studied at Po Leung Kuk Tao Ming Yuen College (寶血女子中學) for secondary education and won awards in the school's singing competitions. After completing her junior high education, she went to England to further her high school studies. She pursued a degree in Vocal Performance at Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts in the United Kingdom, where she also studied pop jazz drums and DJ turntablism. Lam graduated in 2021 and returned to Hong Kong. After graduation, Lam briefly worked in digital marketing. In 2023, she started posting cover songs online, including a rendition of MC Cheung's "Flower Sea (花海)," which received praise from the original artist himself. In 2024, Lam signed with Unlimited Legend Entertainment Ltd (無限傳奇娛樂有限公司) and released her first single, "Let Go," marking her official debut in the music industry. In the same year, she has also released another single called "有心理準備".
