Isabel Aaiún, born Isabel Casado in Segovia in 1987, is a Spanish who performs in the neo-folk genre. Raised in the small village of Veganzones, Segovia, she was passionate about horses from a young age, becoming a professional rider, equestrian teacher, and horse trainer, while also nurturing her love for music. Her musical career took a significant turn in 2019 when Pablo Mora, the singer of Lagarto Amarillo, invited her to collaborate on his song "Mano Rota." This collaboration led to Isabel signing with Níquel Records in 2020. By late 2021, she released her debut single "Potra Salvaje," a feminist anthem that rose to number 3 on the Spanish charts. The song gained significant attention after a 2023 remix by DJ Fernando Moreno went viral. It was further popularized when it played during the celebration of Real Madrid's fifteenth Champions League win on June 1, 2024. The track became a motivational anthem for the Spanish National Football Team during the Euro 2024, climbing to number 2 on Spain's streaming charts, amassing over 19 million streams. In November 2023, Isabel Aaiún decided to end her equestrian career to focus entirely on music. She released her debut album La Potra Salvaje in February 2024, debuting it at the Teatro Juan Bravo in Segovia. Produced by Michel K. Lowan and featuring collaborations with Pablo Mora, the album includes a variety of styles, such as rumbas like "A Gastar la Calle," "La Laca," and "Mano Rota," as well as pasodobles like "Soy Feriante" and the ranchera "La Partida."
