Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on March 20, 2003, Kais Ben Baccar, aka ISK, grew up in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre (Seine-et-Marne), France. He was barely 15 when he emerged on the French rap scene, thanks to the hundreds of thousands of views recorded by his videos in 2019. The ten-volume freestyle series Acharné, produced that year, was followed by other tracks such as "Garantie", "Fazer", "Où je suis" and "Vérité 3", which managed to reach the bottom of the sales and listening charts. The mixtape Le Mal Est Fait (2020) was followed by the album Vérité (2021), on which his mentor Uzi and other artists such as Niro, Alonzo, Sofiane and YL collaborated. In addition to the Vérité freestyle series, the singles "Chez nous" (#75), "Tchernobyl " (#159) and "Le Billet " (#68) marked the rapper's rise in the charts in 2021. The following year, the track "Laisse tomber" (no. 68) preceded the release of the album Racines (2022), charting at no. 7, where ISK was surrounded by peers Da Uzi, Mig, Timal, Heuss l'Enfoiré, Niaks and Mister You. LDLG (L'Art de la Guerre) followed in 2023, featuring Ashe 22, Leto, Kalash Criminel, Niro and Lyna Mayhem. A year later, its successor Hannibal Part. 1 includes the single "Brav-M", in a trio with Mola and KLM. Two other guests, Lesram and Kaaris, contributed to the album, which reached number 171 in France.
