Isleym, whose full name is Isleym Medhi, was born on June 13, 1994 in Villiers-sur-Marne, France. Passionate about music from an early age, she began writing at the age of 10. Spotted at 14 by Nessbeal and producer Skread, she signed with the 7th Magnitude label. In 2010, she made a name for herself with the single "Ma solitude", a duet with Nessbeal, and the EP Avec le temps. Her debut album, Où ça nous mène (2014), blends rap and urban pop, with tracks such as "Art de rue". Influenced by Lauryn Hill and the French urban scene, Isleym draws on her personal experiences to write introspective, emotional tracks. In 2020, the Jumanji EP marked a sonic evolution, followed by Piquée (2022). Collaborating with artists such as Nessbeal, Don Choa and Orelsan, she continues to surprise with her eclectic music and singular pen.
