Isyana Sarasvati is an Indonesian singer and songwriter who has transformed early promise in classical and opera music into a successful career in pop. Born in Bandung, in 1993, by the age of four she was already beginning to dabble in music and over the years has tried her hand variously at the piano, Electone, flute, violin, saxophone and singing. When she was 16, Sarasvati was given a scholarship by the Singapore government to study Music Performance at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, and by 2013 had her Diploma in Music Performance. From there she went on to study at The Royal College of Music in London, where she received the RCM Excellence Award Scholarship. Despite her classical training, however, it was her R&B-infused pop that she became known for. She released her first single, 'Keep Being You' through Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia and followed up with an album titled 'Explore!' in 2015. The follow-up, 'Paradox', came in September 2017 and included collaborations with Raisa and GAC's Gamaliel. In 2019 Isyana worked with Afgan and Rendy Pandugo to release the EP 'AIR', with its three singles 'Feel So Right', 'Never Let Go' and 'Lagu Cinta'.
