Praised by the New York Times for "a voice of phenomenal beauty", American jazz singer Jane Monheit has released several best-selling albums starting with 'Come Dream With Me' which went to number one on Billboard's Jazz Albums Chart in 2001. Noted for her interpretations of the classic American songbook, her latest release 'The Songbook Sessions: Ella Fitzgerald' peaked at number six on the Jazz Chart in 2016. Born on Long Island in New York to a musical family, she attended the Manhattan School of Music and clicked immediately with follow-up albums 'Never Never Land' (2001) which reached number three on the Jazz Chart, 'In the Sun' (2002) which got to number five, 'Taking a Chance On Love' (2004) which made number two, 'Surrender' (2007) and 'The Lovers, the Dreamers and Me' (2009) which both hit number three, and 'Home' (2010) and 'The Heart of the Matter' (2013) which both made number five. Pianist David Benoit's 2015 album '2 in Love' featuring Monheit went to number six and 'Believe' (2015) by the David Benoit Trio featuring Monheit and the All-American Boys Chorus reached number 23.
