Janine Berdin

Born Patricia Janine Dusaran Berdin on January 28th, 2002 in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, Philippines, the actor, singer, and songwriter known professionally as Janine Berdin kicked off her career in December 2010 as a semi-finalist on ABS-CBN's Star Circle Quest: Search for the Next Kiddie Superstar. After releasing her debut single, "Biyaya" in 2018, she was signed up to ABS-CBN's Star Magic and released her first song for the talent agency, "Mas Mabuti Pa", also stepping up to record "Nasa Puso", the theme song for the Philippine drama revenge television series Kadenang Ginto in 2019. She was forced to take a brief break from performing that year after she was diagnosed with vocal nodules and later with Cushing's Syndrome, as a side effect of her medication, however, she returned to the spotlight in November to perform the opening production on It's Showtime. Also in 2019, she joined the girl group J.E.Z. as a member alongside Elha Nympha and Zephanie and was named Most Promising Female Music Artist at the World Class Philippines Council awards. In 2020, she collaborated with Filipino rockers Sponge Cola for the "Guanita" single written by Reynaldo Dilay and finished as a finalist in Himig Handog with the song "Bulalakaw" featuring Joanna Ang. 2021 saw J.E.Z. refashioned as New Gen Divas or New Gen Birit Divas, while she released a string of solo songs, including "Dito" for the Love Beneath the Stars soundtrack. In 2022, she teamed up with YouTube sensation and singer Adie for the acoustic-powered "Mahika" single.
