A precocious singer-songwriter, Janis was only sixteen when her eponymous debut album was released in 1967, featuring the controversial "Society's Child", a song about interracial love. Meteoric success, tours, depression... Janis took a breath and reappeared in 1975 with the (great) album of maturity: Between The Lines. Famous in Japan, she has yet to be discovered in Europe, for her depth of thought, rich songwriting and musical eclecticism.
