Indie-pop artist Jarryd James kickstarted his solo career in 2015, when the song "Do You Remember" and accompanying debut album Thirty One both climbed to Number 2 in his native Australia. Born in Brisbane in December 1984, he initially played guitar in the regionally-acclaimed band Holland before rebranding himself as a pop songwriter with soul, R&B, and electronic influences. Working with Grammy-winning co-writer Joel Little, James unveiled his new sound with "Do You Remember." A double-platinum hit in Australia, "Do You Remember" was followed by the platinum-selling "Give Me Something" and the Julia Stone duet "Regardless," both of which appeared on his solo debut, Thirty One. A follow-up EP, High, was released in 2016. James began releasing a handful of singles from his second album, P.M., in 2019, with the full-length record ultimately arriving in January 2021.
