Best known for hits like "They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore," which was named "Single of the Year" at the CCMA Awards in 2012, Jason Blaine is a Canadian country artist from Pembroke, Ontario. He was born on April 19, 1980. Blaine released his debut album, While We Were Waiting, in 2005, writing nine of the album's 10 songs. Three of the album's tracks — "Heartache Like Mine," "What I Can't Forget," and "While We Were Waiting" — became Top 40 hits on the Canada Country Top 30 chart. 2008's Make My Move spawned more country hits, with "Rock in My Boot" reaching Number 9, "Flirtin' with Me" reaching Number 5, "Give It to Me" reaching Number 16, and both "Good Day to Get Gone" and "My First Car" hitting Number 11. That same year, Blaine was nominated for "Top New Talent of the Year" at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards. He received a nomination for "Male Artist of the Year" one year later. 2010's Sweet Sundown featured a pair of Top 20 singles ("Numb" and "Run with Me") as well as "Hillbilly Girl," which reached Number 29. Life So Far followed in 2011 and included the award-winning "They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore," which was one of the three tracks from the album to reach the Top 10 on the Canada Country chart. 2013's Everything I Love and 2015's Country Side were stocked with more hit singles, earning Blaine a career total of 20 different Top 40 country hits in his homeland. He expanded that number with his 2017 EP, Boy with a Guitar, with included the popular tracks "Born to Love" and "Boy with a Guitar." After releasing another EP, Diamonds in the Desert, in 2022, Jason Blaine returned to the charts with "The Road That Raised You Up," his first single of 2023.
