Born on September 25, 1980 in Reims, France, Jeanne Added is a singer and cellist. She studied at the Paris Conservatory and at the Royal Academy in London. She switched her focus to jazz music and, as a singer, she collaborated with Baptiste Trotignon, Stéphane Kerecki, and other soloists. Embracing rock and electronic music, she released EP#1 in 2011. Her debut album, Yes Is a Pleasant Country, was released that same year. Three years later, in 2014, she unveiled her new music live in Rennes, France. Recorded as a trio with keyboardist Narumi Hérisson and drummer Anne Pacéo, she released some of the music on EP in February 2015. She followed that up with the electro album Be Sensational (2015). Including the single “A War Is Coming”, the album was her biggest success yet, and she toured to support the release. The album entered the Top 40 in France and was nominated in the Album Revelation of the Year category for the Victoire de la musique. In 2018, Added released the single “Mutate”, the first track taken from her 2019 album Radiate. She won the award for Best Female Artist during Victoires de la musique in 2019 and Radiate won Best Rock Album at the same event.
