Jim Brickman is a prolific recording artist with a long list of releases that feature his piano playing and vocals with guest artists. His more than 20 albums feature mostly a new-age style with several that focus on seasonal and spiritual tunes. He is the host of the syndicated American radio programme 'Your Weekend With Jim Brickman Show', he has made several specials for US public television, and he has published three books. Born in Ohio, he took to the piano at a young age and later studied both music and business, putting both to use in a firm he called the Brickman Arrangement, which provided jingles for advertising. Windham Hill Records signed him in 1994 and he made his recording debut with the album 'No Words', which features the popular single 'Rocket to the Moon'. Many albums followed including 'By Heart', 'Picture This' and 'The Gift', his first release of Christmas songs. Other releases on the label include the concert album 'My Romance: An Evening With Jim Brickman' and a collection for children titled 'Love Songs and Lullabies'. After he left Windham Hill, Brickman kept busy with 'The Disney Songbook' (2005) and 'Escape' (2006) as well as festive releases 'The Hyms & Carols of Christmas' (2008) and 'The Magic of Christmas' (2013). Brickman also used his business acumen on schemes such as the 'Sail With Jim Brickman' project for cruise ships in the Caribbean and a marketing and e-commerce firm called Brickhouse Direct with clients that include artists and music companies.
