From 1983 to 1989, the career of ex-The Communards and Bronski Beat, Jimmy Somerville (born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 22, 1961) saw the artist enjoy one success after another. So, after the success of the 1989 album Read My Lips and his new major hits, "You Make Me Feel " and "Comment te dire adieu", Jimmy Somerville felt the need to take a break. He spent most of the 1990s living his life as a man. The albums Manage the Damage (1999) and Home Again (2004) bring out the unforgettable falsetto of his voice. Though less successful, Jimmy Somerville's presence is a testament to his undiminished talent and presence. After a 2009 album of covers, Suddenly Last Summer, the high-voiced singer returns in 2015 with the aptly-named Homage to the Golden Age of Disco.
