Formed in Valenzuela in 2001, Biboy Renia, Congie Lulu and Migs Mendoza named themselves after misheard lyrics from a foreign punk band and hit the gig circuit. They went through several drummers in the early days, eventually settling on Brian Lotho. The band made their recorded debut with 'Join the Club EP' in 2003, also spawning the single 'Mahiwaga'. With their first album, 2005's 'Nobela', the band were getting national airplay and had a hit with the title track of the same name. It was another eight years before Join the Club released their second album, 'Gera Ng Balarila', but when it hit the single 'Balewalang Pag-Ibig' set up camp in the Pinoy Myx Countdown for almost three months, peaking at number five.
