Jordan Hill

Whitney Jordan Hill (April 17, 1978) is an American singer-songwriter who rose to prominence largely thanks to her association with award-winning producer David Foster. Hailing from Knoxville, Tennessee, Hill and her family relocated to Los Angeles, where she completed her studies at the Hamilton Academy of Music and supported herself by playing at clubs and small venues. She met Foster in 1994 after performing at the producer’s California home and the pair hit it off almost immediately. Hill’s Foster-penned debut single “Remember Me This Way” saw the light in 1995 via Foster’s 143 Records and was featured on the soundtrack for the feature film Casper. A self-titled album followed in 1996, whose lead single “For the Love of You” peaked at Number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100, with a remix by Tony Moran entering the Top 10 on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs. Hill left the label due to a lack of promotion, shortly after releasing the UK exclusive singles “How Many Times” and “Too Much Heaven,” a Bee Gees cover that featured Barry Gibb on backing vocals. She spent the following years collaborating with other artists, most notably the Bee Gees and Jim Brickman, and resumed her solo career in 2012 with the festive single “Someday at Christmas,” reaching Number 11 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
