Although he began his career dancing and rapping for the K-pop boy band Shinhwa, Jun Jin began singing with the group after several years and eventually launched a solo career, as well, earning a Top 10 hit in South Korea with "Love Doesn't Come." He was born as "Park Choong-jae" on August 19, 1980, in Seoul, South Korea. He joined Shinhwa in 1998, serving as a rapper on the group's first four albums before making his singing debut with Perfect Man in 2002. While continuing to perform with the group, he released his first single as a solo artist, "Love Doesn't Come," in 2006. The song was a hit, peaking at number 6 in South Korea. His first solo album, New Decade, arrived two years later and reached number 5. That same year, he joined the cast of the variety TV show Infinite Challenge and remained on the program for a year, winning the "Best Star Award" at the MBC Entertainment Awards. His 2009 EP Fascination fared moderately well in South Korea, where it reached number 32 and spawned the hit single "Like A Fool." Another EP, #Real#, followed in 2015, hitting number 4 on the Korean charts and eventually going gold. That same year, he also reached number 2 with Shinhwa's twelfth album, We. He continued to enjoy success with the group during the late 2010s and also joined Shinhwa's first sub-unit, Shinhwa WDJ, in 2022.
