Go Jung-gi, aka Junggigo, is a South Korean singer who started his career in music in 2002 with the Starship Entertainment company. However, he didn't release his first solo single 'Byebyebye' until 2008, preferring instead to work with other musicians on their tracks. In 2013 his contract with Starship expired and he left the company to form his own label. It was not until 2014 that he released his first hit single, 'Some'. This was a collaboration with Soyu, a singer with the girl band Sista, and South Korean rapper Lil Boi, reaching number one on the Gaon South Korean Chart. Junggigo followed this with album 'Across the Universe' in 2017 and several singles, one of which, 'Want U' with Beenzino, came close to repeating the success of 'Some'. Since 2017 he has released three further singles, none of which have entered the Gaon Top 100.
