Kanako Momota

Kanako Momota, born on July 12, 1994, in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese singer and actress. In fifth grade, encouraged by her mother, Momota auditioned for the Stardust Promotion talent agency and was subsequently signed to the agency's 3B Junior section. In the spring of 2008, Stardust Promotion placed her in the idol group Momoiro Clover Z, where she eventually became the group leader. The group released seven albums, including top-charting albums 5th Dimension (2013) and Hakkin no Yoake (2016), and became known for their energetic, acrobatic performances as well as their collaborations with international artists such as Kiss and Lady Gaga. In 2016, Momota released her debut single "Ring the Bell" with Shiori Tamai, followed by "Akai Maboroshi Yoru" (2021) and "Christmas Shiyo" (2023). She made another return in 2024 with the mini-album 30th, featuring the singles "熱帯夜 Fantasy" and "Doubt." The record reached number 37 on the Top 100 Albums chart in Japan.
