Kangta & Vanness were a short-lived South Korean and Taiwanese pop duo formed by SM Entertainment. Composed of Kangta (Ahn Chil-hyun)—a well-known South Korean singer and former lead vocalist of the famed K-pop boy band H.O.T.—and Vanness Wu, a Taiwanese-American singer, actor, and member of the popular Taiwanese boy band F4, the duo released one album in 2006, Scandal. Despite their limited recording output, the group enjoyed success with their debut LP, which peaked at number eight on the South Korean Albums chart. The Mandarin version of the album's title track was also nominated for Top 10 Gold Songs at the Hong Kong TVB8 Awards. Kangta & Vanness disbanded later that year.
