Karli June

Hailing from Listowel, Ontario, June's musical journey began with singing in her church choir and participating in local fairs and singing contests. During her teenage years, she taught herself to play the guitar and began her early attempts at songwriting. Influenced by artists like Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain, and Kacey Musgraves, she recorded her first two singles in 2016 with the renowned producer and guitarist Jason Barry and this marked the start of June's journey into the world of country music, earning her performances at prominent Canadian country music festivals like Boots & Hearts, where she shared the stage with both Canadian and American country music icons. In January 2020, June released "Say too Much," making her return to the stage in August 2021, performing alongside the award-winning Canadian country band The Washboard Union at the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival. June’s debut EP Where You Come From appeared on February 18, 2022, featuring six tracks, including the singles “Heart Drunk,” “Home Team,” and “The List,” earning her a place among the top three finalists to represent Ontario in the nationwide Jim Beam Talent Search. In 2023, she received three CMA Ontario Nominations, in the categories of Rising Star, Album of the Year, and Songwriter of the Year with 2023 track "Feels Like Home" (featuring Ryan Langdon), hitting the airwaves in August, gaining substantial rotation across the Rogers Country stations in Canada and reaching number 58 on the Canadian Country Song chart.
