Daniel Gómez Carrero (aka Kaydy Cain, born on February 12, 1990) is a Spanish trap artist, considered to be one of the leading proponents of the genre in his home country. He is a member of trap supergroup PXXR GVNG (also known as Los Santos), along with fellow trappers Yung Beef, Khaled, and Steve Lean. After a string of mixtapes stirred up the buzz around him and his notorious beef with rapper C. Tangana, Gómez Carrero released Calle Amor, his proper studio debut, in 2017. The album steered away from trap, mixing Cain’s love for R&B with Latin American urbano genres like reggaetón, dembow, and bachata. Released in late 2018, the mixtape Disis Ma Life, which featured beats by frequent collaborators Steve Lean, Marvin Cruz, and AC3, was hailed by critics as a return to form for the Madrid-born artist. In 2019, he released Lo Mejor de Lo Peor, another collection of Latin-inspired songs that solidified Cain’s reputation as one of the most versatile artists in Spanish urban music. That same year, he also released NBA, a mixtape in collaboration with rapper Marko Italia. A video was shot for the title track, which was directed by Kaydy Cain himself.
