Kazuya Kamenashi is a Japanese pop singer-songwriter who gained fame first as a television actor in 1999 and went on to a very successful acting career on television and feature films. As a performer, he is known mostly as a member of the J-pop group KAT-TUN, which he joined in 2001. He also had a stint in a duo called Shüji to Akira, whose single 'Seishun Amigo' was a hit in 2005. KAT-TUN have had several hit singles on Billboard's Japan Hot 100 and he had solo hits with 'Sayonara Arigato' (2013), which went to number one on the Japan singles chart. His 2019 release 'Rain', which topped the Japan singles chart and Billboard's Japan Hot 100. It is the theme song of the Japanese TV crime series 'Strawberry Night Saga' in which he stars currently with Fumi Nikaido. His 2019 schedule was to include appearances with KAT-TUN in Yokohama, Osaka, Miyagi, Fukui, Fukuoka and Sapporo in Japan.
