Born in Creil (Oise, France) on January 30, 1992, French rapper Cédric Matéta Nkomi, aka Keblack, became famous for videos filmed on his cell phone and shared online. His tracks, which are making the rounds on the Internet, are acclaimed by Internet users, who compare him to Maître Gims. In December 2014, his song "Tout va bien" racked up hundreds of thousands of views. Three months later, it was released as a single, appearing in the best-seller chart (at number 104). The Universal-contracted rapper was back in the news during the 2016 European Football Championship when, in the midst of the competition, French players Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra took to the stage in a video, dancing to his track "J'ai déconné", which again shot up the charts (No. 30). In January 2017, Keblack unveils his debut album Premier Étage, featuring the singles, "Premier étage" (No. 59), "Bazardée" (No. 5) and "J'ai déconné". The following year, his second album, the double Appartement 105 (ranked #15), features multiple collaborations including those with Sokhan, Coolax, Binguy and Vianney, featured on the track "Dernière chance". In 2019, his new tracks "Ne m'en veux pas" (#60) and "Tchop" (#51) precede the third album Contrôle (2020), ranked #16, featuring Dadju, Naza, Leto, Hatik and Ninho. Other tracks follow, such as "Ma Play" with Naza and Naps in 2021, and "1, 2, 3 Soleil" with Naza, charted at No. 16 in 2023. The following year, Keblack scored further hits with "Aucune attache" (No. 10) and the No. 1 "Boucan" with Franglish.
