Born on January 8, 1999 in Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines, film and television actor and model Kelvin Miranda first rose to prominence for his role as Mark Sta. Maria in Netflix original, the Filipino thriller film Dead Kids (2019). Prior to scoring that breakthrough role, he had appeared in various GMA television shows – having been signed up with GMA Artist Center, the talent agency of GMA Network – such as supernatural television drama series Kambal, Karibal and Philippine drama anthology shows Tadhana and Magpakailanman. He also began advancing towards a career on the big screen, taking up acting roles in independent films and a number of films with Regal Entertainment, including Haunted Forest, The Hopeful Romantic, and Walwal. In 2018, his work with the Philippine sketch comedy show Bubble Gang earned him the Best New Male TV Personality nomination at the 32nd PMPC Star Awards for Television, and the following year he won the Best Actor award for The Fate at the 6th Urduja Film Festival. He also picked up the Best Young Actor award for Dead Kids at the 7th Urduja Film Festival in 2020. That same year, Kelvin Miranda branched out into music with an appearance in the video for Ben&Ben's song "Nakikinig Ka Ba Sa Akin." In 2021, he delighted fans by taking the plunge into music with his romantic new single, "Slow Dance."
