Kip Hanrahan is a special character in the world of jazz and world fusion. Trained as a percussionist, he plays the role of producer in the studio and orchestra director in concert, observing the progress of his compositions. Founder of the Clave label, his albums such as Coup de TĂȘte (1981) bring together the jazz avant-garde. His style, which fuses Latin rhythms with contemporary jazz, comes to fruition on Vertical's Currency (1985), All Roads Are Made of the Flesh (1995), Beautiful Scars (2007) and At Home in Anger (2011).
