Formed in Japan in March 2017, Kizu is a visual key /hard rock band comprised of vocalist Lime, guitarist Reiki, bassist Yue, and drummer Kyonosuke. Their sound incorporates elements of heavy metal, rock, goth, and pop music. Like other bands of the visual kei genre, their image is based on flamboyant costumes, make-up, and hairstyles. The group released their debut single, “Oshimai”, in May 2017, which climbed to Number 69 on the Japanese Singles chart. Kizu announced their first live show two month later and sold all 1,300 tickets in one second. In October 2017, they released their second single, “Kawazu,” which climbed to Number 18. Three Top 40 singles – “Kizuato,” “Steroid,” and “O” – were released in 2018 before the group released their live DVD 4th Oneman Sayonara 2018.9.24@Zepp Tokyo. After several more Top 40 singles, Kizu’s next live DVD, Oneman Tour Final Shometsu 2020.2.11 Ex Theater Roppongi, was released in 2020. The following year, they released the compilation album Kataki, which was their first full-length audio release. They released two more live DVDs - Kizu 4th Anniversary Show 2021.4.18 Tokyo International Forum Hall C and Oneman Visual 2022.1.8 Line Cube Shibuya – before releasing their 11th single, “Little Girl wa Yandeiru,” in 2022.
